Brendan Taaffe and his fine band play the rollicking dance music and stately airs of Celtic Ireland, bringing the perfect touch of elegance and toe-tapping fun to a rehearsal dinner, ceremony or reception. Brendan Taaffe has been playing the fiddle and spreading joy through the hills of Vermont for the past decade. With his fine band, Brendan plays the rollicking dance music and stately airs of Celtic Ireland and works with each couple to create the perfect fit of music and ceremony. Many couples have found that this heartfelt music brings the right touch of beauty, elegance and toe-tapping fun to their rehearsal dinners, ceremonies and receptions. By working with many of the finest musicians in New England, Brendan creates the perfect band for each ceremony, and also offers New England style contra dancing (with a caller) or solo Celtic finger-style guitar. Brendan holds a Master’s degree in performance from the Irish World Music Centre at the University of Limerick, Ireland and has toured throughout Europe and North America. He features on several recordings, and is the director of Turtle Dove harmony Week, a summer music camp held in Ireland.
